Since 2004, as a Cancer Expert, I have headed the Salzburg Cancer Research-Institute-Center for Clinical Cancer and Immunology Trials,<\/a> <\/strong>and am now its scientific director. The institute conducts studies on novel treatment methods at the III Medical University Clinic under a framework agreement with SALK. To date, over 12,000 patients have been participated in trials and clinical programs, addressing over 87 types of cancer. <\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n \n

There are currently 90 clinical trials open – 56 of which are dedicated solely to the immunotherapy of cancer, lymphoma, and leukemia. These include treatments with specific protein probes that deliver immune cells or special cell-killing substances directly to tumor cells, to RNA vaccines against cancer, or the reactivation of dysfunctional immune cells. <\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n
